How 's your weekend everyone?

And for those in Phils, how's your long weekend so far? Were you all able to visit your loved-ones who were already in the hands of our Lord? Just for the information of some, Philippines is currently observing All Saints (November 1) and All Souls (November 2). These are one of the national holidays so employees and students have a long weekend off! Unfortunately, the company I am working with, some departments follows the US holidays and some works on a 24x7. So in short, I don't have a long weekend off! But it's okay, I am kinda used to it :)

Anyways, here's what happened from our last week:

 Monday, I rode one of these shuttles since hubby and my little tot wasn't able to pick me up from work. Then Tuesday, Grace, one of my closest colleagues, treat us at Shakey's in Festival Mall.

 Then Wednesday, we saw this lizard eating a fellow lizard which is smaller in size. Animal Instinct indeed! Then Thursday, it was my little tot's Halloween Party at school.

Then Friday, hubby let my little tot play with her pets in our garden. We rarely let her play outdoor since we are too afraid of the dengue brought about by the morning mosquitoes. So before hubby let her, he sprayed her a lot of her Giga insect repellant lotion.Then Saturday, we have tasted the fruit of my sister-in-law's first salary. She brought us a box of 18" pizza from Yellow Cab! Yum!

Yesterday, we have attended the first birthday of one of my best buds in college first born, Baby Ayen. We have so much fun, esp our little tot who got the Best Costume prize! So proud! Plus it is really nice to have a gathering with my old buddies!

Movie Review: Bridesmaids

Here's another movie review for all of you, should I start to look for a website hosting to put up a new site about movie critics? LOL! Just kidding, I know I don't have that luxury of time right now to setup a new site. Anyways, this isn't one of the recent movies, this was shown last July. Have you heard of The Bridesmaids? If not, here's a brief synopsis from IMDb:

Annie (Kristen Wiig), is a maid of honor whose life unravels as she leads her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), and a group of colorful bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to matrimony. Annie's life is a mess. But when she finds out her lifetime best friend is engaged, she simply must serve as Lillian's maid of honor. Though lovelorn and broke, Annie bluffs her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals. With one chance to get it perfect, she'll show Lillian and her bridesmaids just how far you'll go for someone you love

Like some of the movies I have recently seen, I have not heard of it til hubby had obtained a copy of it. I am also not familiar with the main actress, Kristen Wiig,  but I gave it a shot after reading some online information on it. The story is about two best of friends (Annie and Lilian) who grew up together. Now Lilian (Maya) is about to get married and as expected Annie is one of her bridesmaids. And the conflict of the story started when Annie found a competition as being Lilian's bride maids and best friend in the character of Helen (Rose Byrne). It is such a hilarious but at the same time, a sweet and touching flick. It talks about how great a true friendship really is and on how can someone do anything for a friend. If you have a bonding night with your girlfriends, this can be a perfect choice of movie to watch. It may have some flaws, because I think some of the characters were unexplored, but somehow the main cast and a few of the supporting actors and actresses were able to pulled it up. Oh and by the way, I super like its soundtrack. Check this music with lyrics on it, for sure you would like it too! ;)

Life is So Much Easier!

How's everyone? I know I have been busy lately that I sometimes, er I mean, most of the times failed to visit your blogs lately. We are in the process of transitioning from our old department to our new one at work. We are required to attend training to learn the new systems and tools on a different schedule. And not only that, I got lots of papers to finish for this next session at school.

Thanks goodness that all the information I need to are now readily available in just one click. I could not imagine how will I ever finish these if I still need to go in the nearest library just to research. I could say that generations nowadays are indeed so lucky to have an internet connection and the search engines readily available right in the comfort of their homes. And not only that, even courses such as medical management course, medical teaching course or even teach the teacher course can now be access online and at your own pace. This basically ease the process of searching for schools, courses, registration and most especially learning. You can even find information online on interview courses such as consultant interview courses to prepare you in your upcoming interviews. Such a relief, right? We owe this to the maker of this technology and all the innovations that will really make our lives easier.

Here's what happened to us last week:

 My little tot brought me these (left photo) cute kites from school. And this was my view of the sky while I was on my way home last Tuesday. A beautiful cloudy sky!

 Meet Nemo! Hubby brought this fighting fish last Wednesday for our little tot. And I brought another liter of Giga Insect repellant to protect my little tot from dengue.

 Then Friday after work, we brought my little tot her costume for their upcoming Halloween activity at school. Initially she like Gohan's or Piccolo's of Dragon Ball Z costumes but since we could not find one, we're glad she was able to settle with this one (left photo). Then it was really hot yesterday, so this was one of our way to beat the heat!

Then finally, I was able to buy two pairs of Leg Love!
Super love!

Friday Fill-ins and Letter of Intent

Aww I miss doing this! And...here we go!

1. Old me would just want to go with the flow and maintain a low profile in our new department; new me would want to take some chances on the opportunities that I am seeing.
2. You already made a big step in your life just by taking responsibility.
3. So...in a way you are leading your life the way you wanted it to be.
4. Am I right? LOL!
5. The big difference between men and women is more on dealing their emotions.
6. Seeing my family happy is really makes me happy.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to just the start of a laid back weekend, tomorrow my plans include staying at home and finishing my assignment and Sunday, I want to just chill with my loved-ones at home! 

To Myself,

Stop procrastinating! You got two papers to finish remember that. Plus your training is about to be over and you will then be back in living a nocturnal life, so please take advantage of the little spare time that you have til it last, ok?!

Movie Review: Friends with Benefits

Its been a while since I wrote a movie review. It is not because I have not seen any movie, old or new, lately. I probably have been so busy lately, I am in training at work on a totally different schedule. But enough about my excuses LOL! I have a couple of movies in line for my review and I start of with this one, Friends with Benefits which starred Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. Here's a brief synopsis from IMDb first as for your reference:

While trying to avoid the clichés of Hollywood romantic comedies, Dylan and Jamie soon discover however that adding the act of sex to their friendship does lead to complications.

I really don't have an intention on watching this flick since I am really not a fan of these two, plus the title movie really tells me that this isn't intended for family viewing. I have not watched its trailer as well but since hubby was able to get a copy and have seen this flick before I did, he has nothing bad to say about the flick. So I have decided to give it a shot. I am not gonna tell you how the story started because there's a bit of a twist in there and I don't want to spoil it. Part of the story revolves in the meeting of Dylan (Justin) and Jamie (Mila) which eventually led into a deeper friendship that soon led into being "friends with benefits". I could say that they have such a great chemistry. Their acting are believable plus all the supporting characters in the movie. The flick has lots of mature scenes but somehow they made it look really cute! But as expected, such kind of "friendship" entails conflicts especially if each others feeling will meddle into. And that's just it with a happy ending of course. The flick was enjoyable enough and we have some good laughs, so I still recommend watching this flick, with your hubby or wifey or with your girlfriends, not with your kids because of the scenes that are not really for minors. This can fit-in on one of your late-night movie date at home with your loved-one :)

Mellow Yellow Monday, Blue Monday and Ruby Tuesday (365/283-289)

How 's your weekend everyone?

Here's what happened over the last week:

 It was a rainy Monday afternoon! We almost thought that Tropical Storm Ramon was already entering the country sooner than we expected. But the next day, the Sun was brightly shining!

But it was raining the whole Wednesday til Thursday that classes were suspended. I cooked Chicken Soup (Sopas) to beat the cold weather last Wednesday. And surprisingly enough, last Thursday, my little tot agreed to have this (right photo) sprayed to her clogged nasal.

The weather was fine last Friday and classes were resumed on all levels. After work, we did our grocery shopping at SM Southmall. Then Saturday, this was our view while we were in queue at Petron Gas station on our way to visit my Dad, and my sibs. It was just a day after payday, so that might be the reason! :)

Then Sunday, finally I was able to take a photo of my pregnant sister because she doesn't want to be in front of the camera because she thinks she's really that big LOL! It was her birthday last Friday and we have celebrated it last Saturday with lots of food plus a karaoke night! I so missed singing! As if I am pro LOL! Sad, I was not able to take photos during the celebration. Guess, I was really busy singing that night! LOL!
