And...here we go!
1. Summer is indeed too far I think since we just had a tropical storm and now there's a new one who just landed yesterday.
2. Nothing in this world is unchanged only changes.
3. Aargh! TS Cruz road is such a pain to pass by every morning due to heavy traffic.
4. I always have a glass of hot milk in the morning.
5. Seven: is the number of month when my little girl was born.
6. Isn't it ironic, don't you think?
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a busy Friday as usual, tomorrow my plans include attending an orientation at school if I have decided to otherwise, will be attending my friend's son's birthday party in the afternoon and Sunday, I want to have fun at another kiddie birthday party at the fort

Foursons
To Taho (Sweet Bean curd),
Oh how I miss you so much that I have to run fast yesterday so I could be able to buy two glasses of you! To the man who has been selling this even when it is raining, thanks for satisfying my craving!

From a Taho-Lover
To the Traffic Enforcers,
I don't understand why do you have to shut off the traffic lights and have your self do the managing of the traffic flow! That Red-Yellow-Green lights have always been working and based in my past experiences and observations, the traffic flow had always been heavier whenever you guys takeover! Can you just leave those ON and stop meddling with it?

We Get it Straight from Straight Talk!

This post brought to you by Straight Talk. All opinions are 100% mine.

As I was browsing online a few minutes ago, I saw some offers from a few of the top local telecommunications companies and I must say that their offers are all tempting. But from a consumer who had been using cell phones for years, I can tell that some of these offers are not living with its promises. Yes and sadly that is true. We have been victims of some hidden charges every now and then. So just to check if such situation has been happening as well on some other locations, I have tried to search on some of the offers abroad. And as expected, I have found some that have some great deals to offer but when I have read some reviews and testimonials, it looks like they have been experiencing the same thing that we have here. But when I saw a few articles and videos on Straight Talk, it seems to me that I have found one that might be different from the rest. Let me share to you what I have found out.

I think it is best to start with the testimonials from their satisfied users, and here it is:

Aren't you intrigued by now after you have watched that video? Now here are some great information that I have found out about Straight Talk:
  • No contracts and no surprise bill
  • Great nationwide coverage
  • They got an "All You Need Plan" for heavy phone users at an amazing deal
  • Just a $45 monthly bill for an unlimited services such as calls, text,  picture messaging and web access
  • No activation, reactivation and termination fees! Such a hook, line and sinker deal!
That sounds great, right? For me, it has everything you need! Not only that, they do offer recondition phones with camera, mp3 player, mobile access starting from $10. Perfect for young mobile phone users! You may check the video below:
Sound like a steal! How I wish that Straight Talk is available here so I can call a friend from anywhere anytime I want!

Wordless Wednesday #245 and Sepia Scene #97 (365/208) plus a Movie Review!

Wednesday, July 27, 2011

We just brought her her first raincoat yesterday. As expected, she is excited to wear it but classes are suspended right now due to Typhoon Juaning.
By the way, I got this cute raincoat in 50% off!
What a steal!

Lately we have been watching old flicks at home and the last flick we saw was 27 Dresses. Here is the synopsis of it from IMDb:
Two things about Jane: she never says no to her friends (she's been a bridesmaid 27 times and selflessly plans friends' weddings), and she's in love with her boss, George, nurturing dreams of a lovely, romantic wedding of her own. She meets Kevin, a cynical writer who finds her attractive, and that same week her flirtatious younger sister Tess comes to town. Jane silently watches George fall for Tess, a manipulative pretender. Worse, Jane may be called upon to plan their wedding. Meanwhile, Kevin tries to get Jane's attention and has an idea that may advance his career. Can Jane uncork her feelings?
The story started out when Jane (Katherine) were attending two weddings at the same time. For me it was a cute start, they started it just right. Hubby was hesitant to watch this at first because he thought it might be too girly but just seeing the first few scenes, he was laughing and got hooked! The story was typical but I like how it was delivered. And the casting for me I think what made this such a cute flick. At first glance, you will not see any compatibility with James and Katherine but as the story progress, you will see their chemistry. They look cute together. The supporting actors did a great job as well. It is so light and a romantic flick indeed! Perfect for everybody and for those who loves rom-com movies.

Ruby Tuesday #89 (365/207)

ruby tuesday

Here's one of my little tot's favorite snack. She can consumed 1-2 packs of this just by one sitting! And lately she's been eating this too as her midnight snack. I am not complaining actually, because she was such a picky eater and I am loving the fact that she's trying out new food right now.
This is really crunchy though you need to consume it as soon as you have opened it. The thickness of this is just 1mm and it tastes like Tiger energy biscuits too (if you are familiar with that as well). This is not as sweet as some of the choco crackers which is prefect for me since I don't want her to be into sweets that much. This is now one of her favorite "baon" or food to bring to her school.

And just an update, since classes in the afternoon were suspended due to the bad weather, Hubby and I were finally able to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We have enjoyed it so much! But for me, it should have been Harry Potter and friends LOL! Movie review to follow. I will definitely miss the Hogwarts people :(
How about you, were you able to see the last installment of
Harry Potter?

Mellow Yellow Monday #99 and Blue Monday #89 (365/203 -205)

Monday, July 25, 2011

MellowYellowBadge

Hi everyone! How 's your weekend?
Hope you all have fun!
Our weekend was pretty laid back, aside from the Harry Potter marathon (yes unfortunately I have not seen yet the last installment of Harry Potter, but I am planning to see it soon!) we just brought our little tot on her Pedia last Saturday for her routinely check-up. She gained a kilo and is over 2.5kilo from the average weight for her age. We did expect that since she had learned to eat rice now. No wonder why I couldn't stand carrying her anymore.
A well-baby according to her Pedia. Thank You Lord!
Then Sunday, after hearing the mass, we brought her to her dentist for a scheduled cleaning of her teeth. She was such a good girl all through out the procedure. If you have noticed from her photos, one of her front teeth is not in a good shape, it is scheduled anytime soon for removal. But we still need to prepare her for that procedure. And according to her conversation with her dentist, they will remove it when she reached 5 years old.
Good job baby for being brave and so cooperative!
And as of today's photo, I will post that a little bit maybe when we came back from her school!
Have a great week ahead!

And...here we go!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to just another busy day at work, tomorrow my plans include bringing my little tot to her Pedia for a checkup and Sunday, I want to just relax and have fun with my family and hopefully to watch Harry Potter

Foursons
To My Calculator,
Yesterday was the start of my Accounting class, though I have this subject in high school and college (I think?) but it was ages ago that I consider myself now with zero knowledge on this subject. The only thing that I know of Accounting is when I am budgeting my family's expenses. I have always been inclined to numbers rather than memorizing theories that is why I chose to get this subject over with Leadership. But I have never thought that creating F|S will be as exciting as this. Looking forward to using you as often as I need to.

From an Aspiring Accountant
To My Foot,
I know you have reached your limits since you have been stepping into a pedal since yesterday. I think you have drove around 60KMs or more yesterday. You truly deserve a break!

From a Mom Whose Nursing a Tired Right Foot

Wordless Wednesday #244 and Sepia Scene #96 (365/201) plus a Movie Review!

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Here's another photo taken during her birthday celebration. I just could not get enough of this cuteness!
Can you? :)

On the other note, here's another movie review for all of you. Due to insisting public demand LOL! Actually due to a few recommendations from some friends of mine, I finally was able to watch Unknown starring Liam Neeson and Diane Kruger.

Here's a brief synopsis of the story from IMDb.com:
A man awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is.
I have always been a fan of Liam Neeson and before watching this flick, his last movie that I saw was Taken. I love that too! Then when I saw three of my friends made status on how they have liked watching this flick, I immediately search for a copy so I could watch this as well. The story started when a doctor together with his wife arrived at Berlin to attend a convention that involves specialist in medicine and on medical teaching course but encountered a problem when he left his suitcase at the airport. Then he met an accident on his way to retrieving his suitcase which brought him into a coma for days. But when he gained consciousness, he lost some parts of his memory except for his wife. But when he confronted his wife, she had denied knowing him. The whole conflicts start from there, from finding who he really is and what happened why the people he knows didn't seem to know him. That will kept you wondering who he really is, and why on a convention like that wherein people who graduated with honors on medical management course and and event which seems to be a regular one, these people especially the highly qualified specialists in the medical teaching course do not knew who are their peers. Even if they have been interacting with them for quite some time. Maybe that was just one of the story plots :) Though we already have a hunch on what he truly is (being a frequent watcher of this kind of flick), still this movie will not give you the assurance that you are correct with your hunch and will keep you guessing til the very end. Such a great twist! The director made a great job in creating great scenes and all the actors did an awesome job as well. I highly recommend this flick if you are into thriller and suspense movie!

I will post today's photo in a bit. I have to go offline since I got lots of chapters yet to read for my class tomorrow. It's more like a teach the teacher course, so wish me luck!

Ruby Tuesday #88 (365/200) and a Movie Review: Date Night!

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

ruby tuesday

I know I have been such a lame photographer this days (as if I am one of the PROs LOL!) and today since I am not been able to find anything in red worth sharing, so when I saw a rooster loitering around our village, I immediately took a shot of it, and here's what I got
Failure! LOL! Not a good shot I know!
I will try to make it up next week :)

And on the other note, here's another movie review for you. We just recently saw Date Night and hubby and I have so much fun watching it.
Before my review, here's a brief synopsis from IMDb:
In New York City, a case of mistaken identity turns a bored married couple's attempt at a glamorous and romantic evening into something more thrilling and dangerous.
Usually before I watch any flick, I see to it that I was able to read a brief synopsis so at least I know what to expect. But this time around, I just trust my husband when he said that it was a good flick. Upon seeing both Steve and Tina, I knew that this flick will be funny and worth watching. It started up when a couple wanted to have fun and have a break from their usual routines, working and parenting. But apparently, they ended up into some thrilling adventures that they have almost have themselves killed. The two were perfect as a couple and I love their chemistry. I also like Mark Wahlberg's appearances in here in which it was made just right. He didn't overpowered the two. Plus the other casts made some great supporting roles as well. The conflict were taken lightly and bubbly. It is just a night full of fun and excitement! This romance-comedy flick is perfect for those late night movie date with your hubby!
