And...here we go!

1. I was not so happy being lonely, living without you.
2. I hurriedly packed my things so I could leave immediately and I left my book on top of your table when I saw your handsome brother coming towards me hehe.
3. Why do we always hurt the one we love, why? :)
4. Going out of town this summer was in my thoughts today.
5. One of my father's favorite sayings was do not do things that you will ever regret in the end.
6. Butterflies in your stomach--I know that feeling!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to just the usual Friday night at work, tomorrow my plans include going to the doctor for our annual Flu vaccine shots and Sunday, I want to have a mani/pedi and my eyebrow threaded then go strolling at the mall with my family, or maybe will be off to Tagaytay with friends, if hubby'll say yes tonight!

We've been having brownouts for two straight days now and we could definitely understand that you are trying to save energy but how come when our monthly bill statements arrived, consumptions are either the same or much lesser but the bill doubled!!! Tsk Tsk! C'mon! Now expect us to be ranting on your hot line every time there will be power interruption in our area!

Thursday Thunks #23

1. Robins have red breasts. Why are their eggs blue? Are they dependent on that?LOL!

2. The doorbell buzzes at the same moment the phone rings. Who was on the phone? Not sure yet unless I pick it up :)

3. It seems that there are several very popular memes each day of the week. Which meme did you first become a regular of? Hmm.. can't remember now.. I think I joined lots and became a regular at that instant :)

4. It is about time that Berleen and Kimber meet in person. Should we start a collection to fly one of them to the other, or just hope Thom's bus and get from Hawaii to Kimber in Arizona and take her to Berleen in Minnesota? Start hoping :) and I hope that you all can pass by here using Thom's bus :)

5. Tell us about your pets. Do you have one that you wish would run away? Right now, just Dorothy :) Got lots of pets before, but I have loved them all!

6. What was the last thing colored red that you wore? pony tail :)

7. I have a train that runs by where I live several times a day. I actually find it peaceful. What's the longest journey that you have taken by train? the longest will be from South to North and that will be not more than an hour of travel :)

8. If Kimber threw a five dollar bill off a building that was five stories high, and Berleen threw a twenty off a build that was six stories high, who do you think would find the money? Hmm not sure, but will they really drop a bill?

9. If reincarnation really happens, whose life would you like to know that you have already led? Couldn't think of anyone right now.

10. What are your three favorite possessions? material? :)

11. A lot of people still believe that Elvis is alive. Have you ever worn blue suede shoes? Are you kiddin me?

12. Do you have siblings? If yes, are you anything alike? I just realized that recently, when I was able to check my old pics. I looked like my brother back then hahaha

13. Has anyone ever asked you to strip naked and cluck like a chicken? No one and no one will ever do that for sure hahah

Last Saturday I had a date with my girlfriends at Conti's Serendra, The Fort. One of us was celebrating her birthday and she invited us to have a dinner date with her, her treat! :)

What a fun night filled with laughter and lots of stories have been shared :) It's really great to be with your friends once in a while. And as I have mentioned on this post, it was my first time traveling several KMs away ALONE! :)

Couple's Corner: We're Best of Friends

Awww time to get mushy with Couple's Corner :) This is my first time to join this meme and today's theme is being "We're Best of Friends". This also applies to us, we started off as friends before we became lovers which I think for me is one of the best foundations of our relationship. We both talk and think almost on the same wavelength. We don't have exactly the same hobbies and interest but we have some that we both enjoy doing. We have some healthy arguments too which definitely spice up our relationship. You know how easy for you to confide to your friends than to your family. So being open to each other is not that difficult for us. I could tell him almost everything without the need to guard or edit what I am saying. But I am not saying that I know everything about him as well as he knows everything about me, we still so much value and respect our own privacy because we believe that you still need to keep a thing for yourself.

I thank God not just for giving me the love of my life but a best friend I can always count on!

Stuck!

I know most of you who are living or have experienced to lived in the Philippines would agree with me when I say heavy traffic is a common scenario on most roads in the Philippines. Just last Saturday's traffic both southbound and northbound weren't that nice. I have encountered this while I was on my way to Serendra. Actually one of the reasons why the traffic was so slow is because of the constructions on-going on both lanes, but for me they could have lessen the effect of this on commuters by installing proper barricades on both ways. They have tried to, but for me it was not enough and some of it were actually not that safe or to be exact, not that visible to the commuters. I have even seen a collision on my way home where an SUV hit one of the concrete barriers they have installed on the roads.

Unfortunately I was not the only one who had experienced heavy traffic last Saturday. Two of my colleagues who coincidentally happened to be in the same location did experience such a heavy traffic. One of them was bound to Tagaytay, but was stuck for almost six hours at Sta. Rosa because of the obstructions brought by Greenfield City Sunset Run 2010 which my other colleague participated into. Imagine that! The organizers failed to do some crowd control which blocked the traffic on that location for several hours. This was not really a fun experience. For me in cases like these, they should have installed some things like stanchions that are used in banks or any events that need to be contained or organized. There are several ways and gadgets such as those velvet ropes that they could have used to prevent that from happening.

It is not really fun to be in the middle of that and you cannot do anything except to whine heheh How about you, have you been stuck in the middle of a heavy traffic?

While strolling alone at Serendra, The Fort, found these red tubes standing over the middle of the field. I think these were built for children to play with. These are moving when you touch it but it won't fall down even if you hit it hard.
